Kailaka Park is a favorite place for recreation of Pleven residents and guests of the town. It is located only 6 km south of Pleven. The park offers various opportunities for walking, relaxation and entertainment. Sheer cliffs over 20 meters high are suitable for practicing rock climbing. The area has a rich and diverse flora and fauna. Here are the remains of the Roman road station "Storgozia". The park has swimming pools, children's playground, tennis courts, a lake with boats and water wheels, recreation areas and restaurants, a zoo.
Nature lovers can visit the Chernelka Nature Reserve, located about 12 km from Pleven. The Chernelka River formed a beautiful canyon. An eco-trail has been built in the area - 18 bridges have been erected and the river runs smoothly.
The Ivan Radoev Drama and Puppet Theater is located in the city center. Both local actors and guest performances appear on the scene.
There are also two major shopping centers in Pleven - Panorama Mall and Central Mall.
In the city and in the area around it, there are hotels and guest houses offering accommodation. The restaurants are numerous and offer a variety of Bulgarian cuisine.
