Panorama of the Pleven Epopee
The panorama "Pleven Epic 1877" is an art museum in Pleven, built in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Liberation of Pleven from Ottoman rule. Three million years after its discovery, 2.5 million people have visited the panorama. It was built in memory of the killed Russians, Romanians and Bulgarians. It is included in the Hundred National Tourist Sites.
It was built in the area of Skobelev Park, next to the Kovanluk Redoubt, which during the 3rd attack from the Siege of Pleven was led by the most severe battles.
Nikolay Ovechkin is the author of the painting part and the main one.
The Panorama's architectural body is made to look raised on 4 shields, which embodies the power of the weapon without releasing it. The cheeks wear 4 horizontally spaced rings, 3 of which symbolize the 3 attacks against Pleven, and the 4-ring is a decorative-plastic frieze symbolizing the siege of Pleven.
