The Ivan Radoev Drama and Puppet Theater is located in the town of Pleven.
The theater is a state-funded institution with mixed funding from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Municipality of Pleven. It has its own troupe of 26 actors and 4 directors.
As a professional theater, it has existed since 1919. Since 1998 a puppet department has been opened to the theater, which is a continuation of the fruitful traditions of the former Pleven State Puppet Theater.
The building that inhabits the Pleven troupe was built at the end of the 19th century. It has 4 scenes: a large stage, a chamber scene, a foyer stage and an art club (cafe).
In genre terms, the theater is wide-ranging, ranging from classical drama to contemporary dramaturgy. Annually he makes about 10 new productions and plays about 200 performances.
